The Thornhill Seniors Club is a registered not-for-profit community organization representing the seniors of Thornhill, Ontario. Thornhill is one of four major communities that comprise the City of Markham.
As of July 2024, we have over 1,000 members and continue to grow!
Our Club offers a wide range of activities to suit every taste. Activity fees are as low as $2 and others are offered at very reasonable fees to cover costs of instructors and/or supplies. We run many special events though out the year as well, including lunches, dinners and dances, BBQs, educational speaker presentations, workshops, tournaments and a wide range of travel opportunities. With generous sponsor support, we are also able to offer presentations and Cafe events at no charge to our members.
The Club operates in the Thornhill Seniors Centre – a 5,000’ space within the Thornhill Community Centre. It contains a comfortable TV lounge with fireplace, full kitchen, Cafe, Snooker room, 3 activity rooms, a large hall and accessible washrooms.
Our shared Community Centre facilities include 3 halls, a newly renovated library, 5 additional activity rooms, computer lab, 2 skating rinks, indoor walking track, meeting rooms, gymnasium, fitness centre, walking track and a therapeutic pool (fitness membership required).
