Archery
Art-Watercolour/Drawing:
Learn basic design and techniques of watercolour or drawing. Skills will increase through demonstrations, practice, and critique.
Abdominals:
This low-impact exercise program focuses on strengthening your core muscles. Sitting and standing is involved.
Book Clubs:
Members enjoy reading and then meeting to talk about each book.
Bridge:
Contract: In Contract Bridge, a pair competes to achieve the highest points against another pair. Contract Bridge is considered less competitive than Duplicate.
Duplicate:In Duplicate Bridge, a pair competes against other pairs to play the same hand, and achieve the most, or suffer the least. It is considered more competitive than Contract.
Bridge Lessons:Learn to play Contract and Duplicate Bridge; then play with your fellow students until you are ready for the regular Contract or Duplicate programs.
Drop-in Games/Activities:
Badminton, Billiards, Shuffleboard, Chess, Cribbage, Darts, Table Tennis, Mah Jong, Crafts & Knitting, Bingo, Ballroom Dance Practice.
Carpet Bowling:
Carpet Bowling continues to be a popular weekly activity. We currently have 5 mats in use and new balls.
Line dancing:
All skill leves are offered – from Beginner to Advanced.
– Beginner: Basic hustle forward and back; box step forward and back; Vine 3 with a touch
– Intermediate: Beginner a prerequisite; Rumba, Cha Cha, and the Waltz
– Advanced: Beginner and Intermediate are prerequisites; advanced Cha Cha and Waltz; new turns and steps
Osteo Fit:
This exercise program is geared toward seniors with or without Osteoporsis. It fun and a great way to exercise at your own pace. This activity uses light weights and music to enhance the program. It involves both sitting and standing exercises.
Pickleball
Tai Chi:
Beginners and Advanced levels are offered. Improve your health by joining in this Tai Chi martial art program. Through a series of graceful movements, you will improve muscular strength and meditations.
Wellness Exercise:
Enjoy a variety of low impact exercises including various stretches, Tai Chi moves and line dancing routines. This a great program to keep fit.
Walking Program:
Enjoy the convenience of our indoor walking track. The program runs 3 morings a week year ’round. Keep fit rain or shine!
Yoga:
Join our certified Yoga instructors as they lead you through a series of postures that stretch and tone.
Zumba:
This active dance class is a fusion of latin and international music and dance that creates a dynamic, exciting and effective cardio workout.
