The eleventh day of the eleventh month – this is Remembrance Day in Canada. We gather at cenotaphs and memorials in more than 2,000 cities, towns and villages throughout the country to honour and remember those who have made the sacrifice for Canada.  Join us at the Flato Markham Theatre for the City of Markham’s ceremony honouring our veterans on November 11th.  City of Markham Telephone: 905-475-4885

Due to the annual Netherlands Bazaar being held at the Thornhill Community Centre, please be advised that The Thornhill Seniors Club will be closed on Friday October 4th and all activities will also be cancelled on this date.

Nomination Information Packages will be available for sign-out:

 August 23 – September 20, 2013 on

Mondays (see Marg Jones), Wednesdays (see Cindy Petrow)

and Fridays (see Rosemary Hunter) between 10:00am – 1:00pm.

 Completed packages must be returned within 5 days of sign out.

 Voting to take place Monday Sept 23^rd – Friday Oct 4^th.
