Message from Don Tai, Vice-President of TSC
“To all our Members, my hope is that you and your families are all well, and staying abreast of all the latest news on the virus to be able to plan a schedule that is safe for you and your loved ones. Don’t forget to include some physical activity in your routine.
To the badminton players, this is a good time if you have space, to practice shuttle / racquet control by hitting on the wall, or go outside and practice keeping the shuttle in air with your racquet.
Stay safe, stay healthy, and be well …

Ontario Creates Partnership with Volunteer Hub to Help Seniors

The Government of Ontario is partnering with SPARK Ontario to help seniors and the most vulnerable stay connected and healthy as they self isolate during the COVID-19 outbreak.

SPARK Ontario is the province’s first volunteer hub designed to direct volunteers to where they are needed most.  Groups across the province are looking for volunteers to help deliver food or medicines, run errands or check-up on seniors and the most vulnerable by phone or email while they self-isolate.

Ontarians interested in volunteering are encouraged to check the website www.sparkontario.ca for opportunities to make a difference where they live.

Seniors, people with disabilities, and others in need of assistance can also be connected to essential services in their community at any time by visiting www.211ontario.ca or by dialing 211 or 1-877-330-3212 (toll free).

Message from Norm Goldstein

Hi Everyone.  I hope you are well during these trying times.
Keeping busy does seem to make these long days more bearable.  With the warmer weather I’ve been going for walks to exercise and online I’ve been playing Scrabble with some new friends I’ve met there.
Shelley and I enjoy playing Canasta here at home and also have a jigsaw puzzle on the go.  Incidentally, we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary last weekend.  My daughter posted these on her social media – of Shelley and I at our wedding and many years later at our daughter’s wedding.  How time flies!
