After a long pause due to the pandemic, The City of Markham has resumed processing of annual Seniors Club Memberships.  Previous Members of the Thornhill Seniors Club may now renew their Membership at the TSC Travel Desk Mon-Fri from 9am-1pm.  Payment by credit card only at this time.

New Members may apply for Membership as of Tuesday September 6.

There’s still 6 weeks remaining in our Summer sessions of weekly Zumba Gold & Osteofit classes, so if you haven’t already – join us!

For those unfamiliar:

Zumba Gold is a dance fitness class for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba^®class with easy-to-follow choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong!  This class is lead by our awesome certified Zumba Gold instructor, Bette.

Osteofit is a low impact muscle conditioning class focusing on strength, balance and coordination for older adults.  This is a great mid-way option for those who feel Zumba Gold would be too much and Chair Yoga not enough.  Bring your arm weights if you have them from previous Osteo classes, otherwise they will be provided.  The class is lead by our amazing veteran fitness instructor, Lorne.

If you would like to join either class, you can register with Cindy in the South Hall tomorrow – Thursday July 28th – 10 minutes prior to the start of either class with your pro-rated registration fee of $30.  We accept exact cash only.  

Anyone 55+ is welcome to join, so tell your friends and family and we hope to see you there!
