For those with tickets to tomorrow’s sold out BBQ at Glynwood:  You may have noticed the forecast is currently calling for rain.  Some ticket holders may not be able to attend an alternate date, so we are going ahead with the event as scheduled (12:30-1:30) and will move indoors to the lower-level auditorium if necessary.

We’ll see what the forecast looks like in the morning and send out an email notice by 10am Tuesday regarding which entrance you should use – the main doors if raining, or (fingers crossed) straight to the outdoor patio as usual if the weather seems to be co-operating.  So please check your email or the website at 10am tomorrow and kindly share this information with fellow Members who may not have internet access.

The City of Markham has released a new Recreation, Culture and Library Program Registration and Facility Booking System.  This new system gives you easy access to programs and spaces offered by Recreation, Markham Museum, Varley Art Gallery, Flato Markham Theatre and Markham Public Library.  To access it, you must first create an account.  This account is also required to renew all Older Adult Club Memberships for the 2023-2024 season. Renewals will take place in August so please create your account before August 1.  Click here to get started.

For those invited to the Volunteer Appreciation Lunch today, please arrive at the main lobby doors of Glynnwood (7700 Bayview) at 12:15pm to sign in.  Wear a mask, which can be removed once you are in the auditorium.  Due to limited parking, carpooling is recommended or walk over from the Community Centre if you are able.  See you there!
