The Club will be closed on Monday September 3^rd  for Labour Day.   The only activities that will run on this day are:  Table Tennis:  9:00am to 12:00pm – North Hall, TSC Euchre:  1:00pm to 3:30pm – Centre Hall and 18+ Duplicate Bridge:  1:00pm to 4:00pm – South Hall.

Please also note that the Thornhill Community Centre Gym and Thornlea Pool Gym will be closed from September 1^st – 16^th for renovation.  All regularly scheduled Gym activities will be cancelled during this period.

Our last BBQ of the year will be held on Friday, August 31st from 12:00-12:30.  The deadline to purchase tickets is Wednesday, August 29th (Sorry, no drop-ins this time!).

Join us in the Cafe tomorrow between 12:00-12:30 for our annual Corn Roast.  Get an ear of sweet roasted corn (freshly picked from Reesor’s Farm in Markham) with real butter, homemade potato salad, coleslaw, roll and your choice of water, pop or coffee for only $3!

Yesterday our Members enjoyed a fantastic lunch cruise in Orillia, including a visit to Mariposa Market.

UPDATE:  Shirley Lawrence, current DIRECTOR OF KITCHEN SERVICES, has decided to retire from her position at the end of her term on October 30^th, 2018.  Pending Board approval on September 13^th, the position of Director of Kitchen Services will be discontinued at the recommendation of the TSC Board Executive, effective after the Annual General Meeting on October 30^th, 2018.

NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS AND DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE POSTED ON THE MAIN NOTICE BOARD LOCATED NEAR THE TSC FRONT DESK.  POSITIONS ARE FOR A 2 YEAR TERM.

On Thursday, our Members enjoyed a day trip to the Herongate Barn Theatre in Locust Hill.  They had a great time watching the comedy performance, “Noises Off”,  followed by a lovely lunch.
