On Thursday our Members enjoyed a fantastic performance by Jay Vazquez at our annual Welcome Back Lunch.  Was great to see everyone up dancing, singing and having a good time!

Just a reminder that 2018/19 TSC Memberships expired on August 31, 2019.  So if you haven’t already, please bring your badge and see the Front Desk to receive your new 2020 sticker.  Annual fees may be paid by cheque or money order, made payable to TSC.  We are unable to accept debit, credit card or cash payments at this time.

On Thursday, August 29 2019, TSC Members travelled to the Stratford Festival Theatre and enjoyed seeing Billy Elliot The Musical.  We enjoyed a very appetizing and delicious lunch, before seeing BILLY ELLIOT, at the Historic Inn & Suites in THE PARLOUR and specifically the Churchill dining room.  We were served a three course meal including beverages.  The dessert was top-drawer.  It was called PAVLOVA.  How impressive.  A Pavlova is a dessert commonly believed to be named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova.  It is meringue-based with a crisp crust and soft, light custard inside, usually topped with fruit and whipped cream.  – Doreen Manning

The Club will be closed on Monday September 2nd for Labour Day.  The only activities that will run are Table Tennis 9am – 12pm in the North Hall, Euchre 1 – 3:30pm in the Centre Hall & Duplicate Bridge 12:30 – 3:30pm in the South Hall.

Join us for an ice cream this Friday August 30th from 12-12:45.  Your choice of a Sundae, Sandwich or Nestle Drumstick for only $1 (while supplies last).  

We are currently in need of Café Volunteers on Mondays 12-3pm (to start immediately) as well as Thursdays 12-3pm (beginning in late September).

We are also looking for a Front Desk Volunteer on Mondays 8:45am-12pm OR Mondays 12-4pm.

TSC was so busy that I didn’t even get a chance to take a photo of today’s sold out BBQ.  It was standing room only – awash in hotdogs, ice-cream and smiling faces 🙂 🙂 🙂

On August 13^th, we boarded The Lady Muskoka then cruised along the Muskoka River out to Lake Muskoka all while being served an excellent dinner and enjoying the breathtaking view of our surroundings.

We ended our day with a visit to Muskoka Lakes farm & winery (Home of Johnston’s Cranberries).  We had the pleasure of a Tour and sampling of many delicious wines!
