“Many of you know the loss we suffered this August when our father and TSC member Allan McKnight passed away suddenly. When nothing but darkness was all around, I saw a painting hanging in the Quiet Room and for one moment I thought only how beautiful it was and my thoughts were distracted just for a moment. Through the kindness of the TSC Board and Bonnie Steinberg one of Bonnie’s paintings was thoughtfully donated to myself and my family in Dad’s memory. We hung the picture November 6th in the Palliative Care Unit, Room 139, where Dad spent his last few days. We and the Palliative Care Unit are so grateful that this beautiful painting now hangs in the room where there was none, and my hope is knowing it may bring a smile when nothing but darkness surrounds another family. Dad would raise his hand to all of you and with a smile on his face he would simply say THANK YOU!”
IN LOVING MEMORY OF ALLAN MCKNIGHT AUGUST 17, 2019 THANK YOU TO THE STAFF OF MACKENZIE HEALTH PALLIATIVE CARE FOR CARING ENOUGH TO HELP OUR FATHER LIVE AND DIE WITH DIGNITY! “A SMILE WILL STOP THE TEARS FROM FLOWING DOWN”
