Transportation Assistance for Vaccine Appointments

cta-transportationYork Region Residents who require transportation assistance for vaccine appointments can visit YRT Mobility On-Request or call 1-866-744-1119 to arrange a ride. Interpretation services are available if needed.

Additional transportation services are offered by community partners such as CHATS, Carefirst, Routes and Pinkcars.ca  For a complete list of community transportation options, call 211 or visit 211central.ca

City of Toronto COVID-19 Vaccination Update

Beginning Saturday, March 27 at 8 a.m., appointments at the City’s mass immunization clinics will be expanded to residents born in 1951 or earlier. Eligible residents can also be vaccinated at hospital immunization clinics or pharmacies.  Help is available by phone at 1-888-999-6488.

Canada’s Wonderland Drive-Thru Vaccine Clinic

Located at 1 Canada’s Wonderland Drive in the City of Vaughan, this new drive-thru clinic location will provide easy and efficient access to the vaccine; immunizing approximately 1,600 people per day when fully operational. This clinic format provides another option for residents who have mobility constraints to receive a vaccine from the comfort of a vehicle.

Starting Friday, March 26 beginning at 8:30 a.m., a limited number of appointments for York Region residents 70+ will be available by visiting york.ca/COVID19Vaccine or call 1-877-464-9675.

As of March 23 at 8:30am, York Region residents 70 years of age or older (born in 1951 or earlier) are eligible to book appointments to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.  See the York Region website for details.

Vaccine Update

Updated Mar 22:  If you’re 75 or older in 2021, you now have the option to book your vaccine appointment at either a mass vaccination clinic or pharmacy.  If you’re 60 or older in 2021, you can book your vaccine appointment at a pharmacy.

To celebrate Spring, TSC Members are invited to Glynnwood Retirement Residence to pick up a complimentary fresh baked banana walnut loaf or a 2-pack of 5” butter and lemon tarts!

In keeping with COVID safety protocols, this will be an outdoor event by appointment only.  Simply drive or walk up to the main entrance of Glynnwood at 7700 Bayview Ave. during your pick-up time and your packaged selection will be safely brought out to you.  Limited appointments available between 1-3pm on Tues March 23, Wed March 24 and Fri March 26.  Call or email Sandy Greene at Glynnwood to reserve your selection and schedule your time:  (289) 982-0123 or sandy.greene@reveraliving.com

New Vaccine Appointments

The Province’s online portal and an accompanying phone line are set to start taking appointments on Monday March 15 at 8 a.m.  Ontario residents aged 80+ or 60-64 can book online at http://www.ontario.ca/bookvaccine or by phone at 1-888-999-6488.  First and second vaccination appointments will be arranged at the same time.
